VanEck, the global investment management firm headquarters in New York, is launching 1,000 community NFTs this week to showcase the real-world utility of Non-fungible tokens. The initial Pre-reveal airdrop is scheduled for May 5th. The NFTs will be launched on Ethereum and in partnership with NUMOMO, a premier global creative NFT agency based in South Korea.
The community NFT project will trace the journey of a fictional character, Hammy, modeled after Alexander Hamilton: a founding father of the United States. Hammy will ‘[explore] the past, present and future of monetary policy and encounter characters that assist him in his missions.’
Each VanEck Community NFT Will Provide Access to Special Benefits
Furthermore, holders of each VanEck community NFT will ‘access to a variety of special benefits, based on the category of NFT they hold, which may include early access to VanEck’s digital asset research, exclusive invitations to in-person and virtual events, and much more.’
Matthew Bartlett, VanEck Community NFT Co-Founder, further explained how the NFTs would function. He said:
We’ve designed the VanEck Community NFT to function like a digital membership card, providing NFT holders with exclusive access to a wide range of events, digital asset research and the insights of an inclusive community of digital assets enthusiasts and investors.
NUMOMO’s core mission is to onboard the next one million users of the metaverse through innovative NFT projects, and the collaboration with VanEck is in line with its vision.
VanEck will be making regular updates on the NFT project via Twitter (@VanEckNFT) and on the project’s website.
