On November 24, Bored Ape Yacht Club officially announced that the long-awaited Trial of Jimmy the Monkey will commence this Christmas. It’s “some really weird shit,” said the BAYC co-founder Greg Solano, aka Garga. That said, let’s dive into Bored Ape’s upcoming tale.

What’s going on with the Trial of Jimmy the Monkey?

In September 2021, Bored Ape Yacht Club released its roadmap 2.0, which included the introduction of the Trial of Jimmy the Monkey. Bored Ape has been building it for a long time however, nobody knows what to expect. Further, not even the individuals creating detailed Twitter threads in an attempt to uncover the story are on the right track. “There’s no way in hell anybody knows what’s going on. And that’s the point,” stated Garga during an interview with Benziga. The co-founder then proceeded to say that he and the team wanted to return to the “silliness, strangeness and fun and novel mechanics” that they had in the early stages of BAYC.

Moreover, the BAYC Twitter page made community members extremely excited after posting a tweet on November 24. The tweet announced that the Trial of Jimmy the Monkey will commence this Christmas. “Happy Thanksgiving Apes,” BAYC tweeted. “The trial begins this Christmas.” In addition, the tweet includes a picture of a majestic box.
