Yuga Labs Releases Updates for the Otherside Metaverse

Yuga Labs has announced updates for its gamified virtual experience, The Otherside.

The Otherside is a metaverse connected to the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT ecosystem. It consists of a massively multiplayer online role-playing game and virtual world elements. Among the recent updates added to the game are The Legends of the Mara, decoupled Kodas, Vessels, and expanded Otherdeeds NFTs. Within the metaverse, players can gain reinforcements and allies in the battle against the Shattered. Notably, Yuga Labs has also introduced the possibility of gaining allies and reinforcements.

On May 30, The Otherside announced StarMap. “Your Otherdeed expanded is your game board, but look to the skies where the constellations align to provide a vision of the future,” states the announcement.  

The update enables players to fight in the company. Alliances can now be formed with various Yuga Labs PFP collections and a group of third-party NFT collections, all to bring reinforcements into the epic battle of Legends of the Mara. By owning one of the battle ally NFTs, participants will be able to gain additional means to defeat the Shattered and acquire their valuable treasures. Even a low-tier setting with few Hunter slots might offer a tactical edge in the conflict with the Shattered, possibly resulting in a move up the leaderboard.

In April, Yuga Labs partnered with Italian luxury brand Gucci to introduce the first physical item developed exclusively for the Otherside metaverse players. The collection included 3,333 KodaPendants, each one going for 450 APE.
