Yay Games has announced a new card role playing game titled Bold Point. It will offer play-to-earn mechanics and NFTs, offering similarities with other trading card games. They are planning to release the blockchain-powered game on their own platform around November this year.
The developers describe Bold Point as a NFT-based role playing card game, offering a fun and competitive experience. Players need to level up their character through battles, either competing with other players or against computer AI. Gamers can also bet on matches between players, to earn even more rewards for each win.
Each character will have unique skills and characteristics, that help players to fine-tune their tactics. Players can earn loot through matches in the battle arena. Both characters and loot represent unique NFTs on the blockchain, which means players can trade their items on a marketplace.
Bold Point is free-to-play, which means that gamers don’t need to make an investment to start playing. The game will run on Binance Smart Chain, and they will offer in-game mining rewards, as well as a liquidity pool for more advanced blockchain users.
Binance Smart Chain on the rise
Earlier this year Binance Smart Chain made an impact on the blockchain industry when many DeFi dapps launched on the platform. PancakeSwap is of course the biggest name, but with ApeSwap, Autofarm and Venus there are plenty of other DeFi dapps. Even dapps from Ethereum moved over the BSC, like for example 1inch.
Lately gaming dapps are on the rise as well. CryptoBlades and My Defi Pet are among the latest hit games on BSC according to data from DappRadar. Animoca Brands and Gala Games have also announced support for the blockchain solution. My Neighbor Alice is one of the biggest upcoming games, embracing Binance Smart Chain. They will soon launch their second land sale.
