Los Angeles-based streetwear brand The Hundreds launches an immersive metaverse experience to celebrate its 20th birthday. The brand has partnered with some.place, a drop-centric platform that helps brands develop groundbreaking immersive and social experiences.
Together, the companies have virtually recreated The Hundreds Fairfax location using Unreal Engine 5. Visitors can view clothing pieces and even purchase garments directly from the virtual store. According to several Twitter users, the shopping experience functions seamlessly.
Notably, the initial Beta access to the platform is already available to Adam Bomb Squad, Badam Bomb Squad, and some.place NFT holders. The new metaverse platform utilizes tokengates, so non-fungible token owners will also get access to the resurrected interpretations of The Hundreds Santa Monica, The Hundreds New York, and The Hundreds San Francisco within the current The Hundreds Los Angeles flagship.

The Hundreds is a streetwear brand that was created in 2003 in a small office in Rosewood. Since then, it has gained widespread acclaim for its unique guerrilla marketing techniques. As of today, the brand has physical locations in Santa Monica, New York, San Francisco, Fairfax, and Virginia. In its two-decades work, some of the stores were closed.
This is not the brand’s first web3 initiative. In August 2021, the company introduced the Adam Bomb Squad NFT collection consisting of 25,000 digital artworks. The pieces feature the brand’s iconic Adam Bomb character designed in a variety of patterns.
“We’re recreating our Fairfax neighborhood in the metaverse right now with our friends at some. place. We’re building out our stores how we imagined them to be in the metaverse, and this unique digital experience is meant for our community to come together, shop and socialize, rather than gamify,” said the brand’s co-founder, Bobby Hundreds.
