Splinterlands Now Lets You Rent Out Cards – Play to Earn

Trading card game Splinterlands has announced a card rental system, allowing players to rent out the cards from their wallet to other players. The developers see this feature as an important update for the card game, as players with large collections can earn passive income while others can use cards previously unavailable to them.

I hear you thinking… Why would someone borrow a card? Well, to play in the big leagues and earn the highest rewards, you will need strong cards. Cards need to be leveled up. In addition gamers need to increase their card collection to unlock higher levels of competitive play. Even a tactical mastermind will need leveled-up cards in order to compete for the biggest rewards in Splinterlands.

Players who want to list their cards for rent on the Splinterlands website, will do this in DEC tokens per day. The rest of the process is very similar to listing a card for sale, which is generally done in USD. On the marketplace there’s a special tab to find the cards available to rent. A rental contract can be cancelled at any time, but the 24 hour rental period will always be completed before the card moves back to the actual owner.

What is Splinterlands?

Now gamers can play the game on desktop and mobile devices, mainly using the Hive blockchain.
