Noted rapper and NFT collector Snoop Dogg partners with Web3 animation company Astro Project to release a music video for “Crip Ya Enthusiasm.”
The clip features a digital version of Snoop Dogg styled as comedian Larry David. In fact, the whole video is built on references to David’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” TV show.
Astro Project developed the setting and the heroes of “Crip Ya Enthusiasm” using Unreal Engine. The creative collaboration does not stop here, as the startup has also released a collection of 11,111 NFTs. The artworks feature various donuts which unlock assets from the music video. For instance, NFT holders get access to character animations or 3D models. Additionally, NFT ownership grants access to Unreal Engine tutorials created by Astro Project.
Individuals can mint the donuts on the company’s website for 0.06 ETH (approximately $80 at the time of writing). As of October 17, 265 NFTs out of 11,111 were minted.
It’s worth noting that Snoop Dogg also released a separate NFT collection of his songs. Crip Ya Enthusiasm is on the list – it goes for 0.8 ETH (approximately $1,066) and is currently owned by 203 people.
Snoop Dogg is well-known as an NFT collector and a crypto activist. The rapper has released several Metaverse-themed music videos and even performed in Yuga Labs’ Otherside Metaverse.
