Perry Cooper is a British 3D motion graphics designer based in the United States. Cooper is known for creating playful animated loops that provide a satisfying new spin on everyday objects and experiences. His style is lively, whimsical and fresh.
Cooper has worked within digital advertising since 2003, co-founding London based digital production company ‘The Confessional’ in 2009. He’s produced online and digital outdoor content for clients such as Amazon, Armani, British Airways, Facebook, Ikea, Jaguar and Virgin Atlantic.
I left university in 2001 with a degree in ‘Time Based New Media’ (a name which has aged badly! Ha) It was basically digital video, but I gravitated more towards post production and started experimenting with 3D. While working at ad agencies, I created flash animations for advertising, but as time went on and file sizes increased I was able to bring in more of my video and 3d skills. With my production company, we do not always get to do 3D work – so I wanted to make sure I kept playing around in Cinema4D. That led me to regularly posting to Instagram, improving my skills, creating loops and eventually setting up my YouTube channel sharing tips.
