As I plow away on writing Why the Metaverse Matters, I’m also planning to expand New World Notes’ reach next year. And I definitely need help doing that.
Are you interested in being New World Notes’ advertising executive and/or bizdev partner? Contact me via DM on Twitter or Discord (WJA #3523) or even actual e-mail (wjamesau at Gmail).
This is an opportunity to partner with brands that New World Notes readers would find valuable, and ideally, would also become an ongoing partnership. (More on that below.)
New World Notes is the longest running and most read metaverse/virtual world blog with a primary focus on Second Life and its many spinoffs, metaverse platforms, and related technologies, often cited by major outlets like the New York Times, the BBC, Bloomberg, Wired, and others. According to Similar Web, we typically attract 150,000 visits a month (sometimes more, sometimes less). It’s also the most-read general news/culture blog with a major focus on Second Life.
As that suggests I’m definitely open to partnering with someone experienced in advertising and the Second Life economy, and would enjoy connecting these brands to NWN, and splitting the revenue.
I’m also interested in someone experienced in bizdev who may want to connect NWN with non-SL brands, such as:
- Organizations involved in virtual worlds/metaverse platforms (brands, service providers, etc.)
- Game developers and publishers
- PC gamer peripheral manufacturers
- Services for gamers and virtual world users
- Startups planning to launch various products like the above.
That’s just the start, and I’m definitely open to related ideas. I want New World Notes to continue indefinitely, and growing it as the metaverse community grows.
Actually my real goal when you get down it is to take everything I’ve learned about the Metaverse after doing this for 20 years (!) and actually help grow the Metaverse into everything we know it can become: A place with the mindshare, diversity, and highly creative community of Second Life in its peak period, and the mass scale of (say) a Fortnite Creative.
But first things first: Growing revenue to support that!
