MoonPay, a Miami-based leading platform of fiat on-ramp solutions for the crypto industry, announced that it will be working with TIME, to provide its customers with a seamless way to purchase TIMEPieces’ NFT collections using credit cards.
Launched in March 2021, TIMEPieces is the Web3 community initiative from TIME that has grown to over 150 artists and over 60,000 collectors and community members. The community dropped the first-ever fully readable magazine on the blockchain. All holders can connect their digital wallets to TIME.com for frictionless access to the website.
The partnership will enable TIME to expand its customer base beyond the core crypto natives and provide its TIMEPieces to a wider community of consumers.
This partnership comes at a time when the market for digital collectibles is booming, following the steps of Twitter, Instagram, Reddit’s Avatars, and Starbucks’ Odyssey as big brands are looking for ways to engage with consumers in the Web3 space.
Keith Grossman, former President of TIME, who officially joined MoonPay in January 2nd as President of Enterprise, is thrilled to be able to help an organization that he cares deeply about, succeed in its endeavors in the Web3 space.
“Personally, I am thrilled to be able to ensure the success of an organization that will always be near-and-dear to my heart with the solutions provided by an organization enabling the future of brand engagement with consumers.” Keith Grossman says.
In addition to providing its fiat on-ramp solution, MoonPay is also in discussions to support their needs for enterprise-ready smart contracts with HyperMint, a MoonPay product that enables non-crypto customers to enjoy a seamless checkout via debit or credit card. TIME will be able to create, manage, and execute complex business logic on the blockchain, making it easier for them to build and scale their Web3 products and services.
The partnership between is a perfect example of how traditional brands are embracing the power of blockchain technology and the Web3 ecosystem. With MoonPay, TIME will be able to take its digital collectibles to the next level and provide a better experience for its customers.
“TIME is a textbook case study on how a brand can use Web3 technology to a build more meaningful, contextual, and curated experience to members of its community. We are excited at MoonPay to help power TIMEPieces initiative with robust and scaleable smart contracts and payments infrastructure.” says Ivan Soto-Wright, the CEO and Co-Founder of MoonPay.
The partnership is a significant step forward for both companies. MoonPay will help TIME to provide a seamless experience for its customers, while being able to expand its customer base and create new opportunities for growth in the Web3 space. With Keith Grossman, leading the way, this partnership is sure to be a success.
