Moonbirds Grails Mint Goes Live Today For Proof’s Art Lovers

Grail season is officially upon us. PROOF’s Collective Grails Season III is live and will be open for the next seven days for Mint Pass holders. This season contains new mechanics along with “a few new surprises.” Let’s dive into it.

Grails: Season III

In Grails Season III, PROOF gathered 20 artists of varying styles to create a limited edition and curated series of artworks. The list of artists also includes several of the top-selling NFT artists of all time. Additionally, 2 artists releasing their very first NFTs are among the artists in this season of Grails. On another note, the identities of the artists will become known after the reveal event, which is in 7 days.

So, what are these new mechanics the PROOF Collective speaks of? The team has introduced two new mechanics, which are Editions and Series. To specify, there are 50 Editions per grail, each of which contains a single artwork. There will be no more Editions issued once the first 50 are minted. Series, on the other hand, are Grails that consist of a series of curated artworks by an artist. They have a mint capacity of 150 mints. A random selection is made every time a Series is minted.

There are certain Editions and Series that are no longer available despite the mint just going live. Mint Pass holders gravitated to specific Grails in hopes of revealing a piece worth while. The number of Grails minted currently stands at just 653 at the time of writing.
