Digital fashion marketplace DressX announces Horizon Worlds integration.
Horizon Worlds is a free virtual reality online video game developed by Meta Platforms for Oculus headsets. The VR game was first released in December 2021. In April, Meta started testing monetization features, allowing users to sell virtual items, such as clothing, in the metaverse.
In October, Mark Zuckerberg announced that outfits from Meta’s Avatar Store will also be present in Horizon Worlds. So, DressX, which was already present in Meta’s Avatar Store, became one of the brands to become available in VR in Horizon.
The company’s partnership with Meta took off in July this year, as Meta added DressX’s iconic bucket hat to its store. The 3D accessory is available in a variety of colors. Users can try it on free-of-charge on Meta’s platforms: Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram.
“We are excited to enter a new stage of virtual fashion development, opening up endless creative possibilities with digital clothes in VR. With real-time VR fashion being something people could only dream about a couple of years ago, we are incredibly proud to bring yet another dream from the future into reality with Meta. With the new technology available, DressX will continue to create its regular digital fashion collections, expanding the brand’s VR library, and making sure DressX collections fit any occasion, style, body type, and shape there is in the Metaverse”
the founders of DressX, Daria Shapovalova and Natalia Modenova.
Among other brands that are currently present in the Avatar Store are Prada, Balenciaga, and Thom Browne. According to Mark Zuckerberg’s speech during Meta Connect 2022, all digital outfits that are present in the Store will be available in VR versions in Horizon Worlds.
