Layer 2 Scroll zkEVM Introduces Points Program

Ethereum Layer 2 solution Scroll has kicked off a loyalty program dubbed Scroll Sessions with the goal ofincreasing assets bridged to the network.

“It’s time to make your Mark on Scroll!” wrote the team on X. “Scroll’s loyalty program kicks off with Session Zero. Obtain Marks by bridging assets to Scroll.”

To be eligible for Session Zero, users must bridge ETH and wstETH via Scroll’s native bridge or STONE, an omnichain fungible token (OFT), on LayerZero. According to the team, users are not required to make any additional transactions.

Marks will be assigned retroactively for users that have deployed assets since Oct. 10, 2023.

Scroll is an Ethereum-compatible Layer 2 network that utilizes zero-knowledge technology. A zk-proof describes a mechanism whereby one party can prove to another that a given statement is true without revealing any additional information, especially the content of the statement itself. It has been applied to blockchains with the goal of scaling Layer 1 networks without rescinding privacy concerns.

According to DefiLlama, its total value locked (TVL) sits at $57 million and has been in a steady uptrend since launching in Oct. 2023.
