Knightlands reveals several ways to play and earn, including trading, dividends, and a seasonal rewards pool. Built on both Ethereum and Polygon, the fantasy quest game Knightlands brings mobile gaming to the blockchain.
Knightlands is an auto-battler, fantasy RPG. If you’ve spent much time playing different games on your phone, you’ve likely run into something similar. Fight monsters, gain experience, gold, and items, expend energy, upgrade items, etc. Some quests are time-based, some just require a few clicks to complete, while others actually simulate a battle. All items have star ratings and players can level them up, upgrade them or break them down for parts. As usual, the first levels come quickly, and the game throws you into the various dungeons, towers, and trials.
Sometimes, having so many choices is a bit overwhelming. And Knightlands takes it one step further. You see, aside from your main character, you also summon troops. Troops are organized into Legions, which can field up to six regular Troops and three Generals. Each Troop and General has their own ratings, star level, and special effects. On top of that, each one can be fully equipped with items! With seven equipment slots, that turns into potentially 70 different items to keep track of! And given the game’s setup, it’s implied that at later levels you’ll have multiple Legion, each with some sort of specialization that will help in defeating certain bosses.
Potential confusion aside, the game hits those gaming, endorphin triggers and showers players with loot, wealth and power. The game is in alpha testing and free-to-play. Those who like getting a head start might want to check out the presale on September 1st. Packages range from $30 to $350 and the sale is on the Polygon network.
But How do I Play to Earn?
Knightlands hosts two ERC20 tokens, FLESH and ASH. Gamers earn FLESH by participating in group raids. Players stake FLESH to earn ASH, which they can use for upgrading items and troops to the higher tiers. They can also use it to acquire items that aren’t otherwise available. Gamers can trade both tokens openly on exchanges, as these are ERC-20 tokens. Presumably, active, attentive players can earn enough FLESH and ASH to sell some extra tokens on the side while continuing to fund their gaming experience.
Supposedly, FLESH is earned from multiplayer raids, but I have yet to see one available. I started my own, but so far, no one else has joined. I’m not really sure how to earn my first pound of FLESH.
But for anyone else that wants to give Knightlands a go, the game is currently in alpha testing and running on the Goerli network. Since it’s on an Ethereum test network, you can get free, fake ETH and spend as much as you want in the store!
