Rainier Wardhana Hardjanto is the first teenager to launch donations on an NFT platform for the disabled.
The Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI) awarded 16-year-old Rainier Wardhana Hardjanto a record-breaking certificate for his role as the first Indonesian to launch donations in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFT). The donations will be given to disabled communities around Indonesia.
“It’s important that we’re aware of the current problems we have in society and how we can reduce the gap of inequality to help improve the lives of others,” Rainer explained through an official statement.
Rainier launched his donations through the Art n Me website, which refers to itself as a non-profit organization which focuses on “innovation, creativity and appreciation of works of art, both conventional art and modern art”. The art pieces are sold in NFT form.
Rainier hopes that the pieces of art sold through the website – which are created by himself, artists from disabled communities and children from orphanages – are able to reach more collectors, thereby generating more revenue in the form of NFTs.
