Gala Games Lets Community Vote for Spidertank Project - Play to Earn

Gala Games has announced The Spidertank Project, a new multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game. However, they will let their community decide on the game’s name. For now they call it the Spidertank Project, named after one of the units seen in the game’s footage.

Gala Games has invited Gamedia and their Spidertank Project to join the Gala Games ecosystem. However, Gamedia will need to win the confidence of the Gala Games community before the game will be added. Owners of a Gala Games Node get to vote whether the game can enter the ecosystem, and the community also gets to vote on the game’s name.

Gamedia is a Dutch indie game studio responsible for a variety of branded and TV applications. In addition they contributed to the development of first person shooters Verdun and Tannenberg. They also made the Space Scooter Game featuring Lionel Messi.

What is this Spidertank Project?

The Spidertank Project is a 3v3 Brawler/MOBA, which allows players to pick and choose between a number of “Spider Tanks” and armaments. They can then battle it out on a series of maps. Gamers can enjoy the game as a free-to-play game with play-to-earn mechanics centering around skill-based competition, resource collection, and a player-driven upgrade cycle.

The NFT strategy for this game will center around tanks, weapons, buildings, and ownable land. Players can use this land to place workshops and resource mines. Upgrading tanks happens in the workshop, using resources collected through play. Players can also improve these buildings and the land parcels by upgrading them. However, land will be limited available. This all depends on player numbers. You’ll be able to buy some NFTs from the Gala Games Store, while players can upgrade other items only through active gameplay and play-to-earn mechanics. Special unit upgrades will only be available as NFT purchases.
