Green Rabbit’s first sale ever was a resounding success, bringing in more than $1,5 million. Over 12,000 packs and nearly 5,000 character crates were sold. Since Green Rabbit is a first-time developer, there was some concern that they may have overestimated the hype. But after a small wait, the entire stock sold out.
Up for sale were 8,000 starter packs, 4,750 premium packs, and 4,920 3D character crates. The character crates each contained one of six characters from the game. Not only do the 3D characters from the crates provide the highest Shellenium staking return, but they also can be used to craft armor blueprints, a process that normally requires one of each type of the other Green Rabbit NFTs (Action Image, Diorama, Coin, and Lore Tablet).
The sale went through a number of whitelist phases, giving Green Rabbit’s long-time followers several first chances to grab packs and crates before the sale was opened to the public. Whitelisting has become the new normal for WAX pack sales as teams try to combat bots and resellers.
Though the 3D characters are the most valuable NFTs in the collection, they were the last to sell out. Perhaps the high price point ($250 USD each) put many people off. But nonetheless, all crates eventually sold and buying one on the secondary market currently costs about three times the original sale price. Green Rabbit’s secondary sales have vaulted it to the top of Atomic Hub activity.
The first phase of their game begins at the end of the month.
What is Green Rabbit?
Green Rabbit is one of the latest staking-based games. It is built on the WAX blockchain. Players stake various Green Rabbit NFTs in order to earn Shellinium. Shellinium will then be used to craft Anima Armor from blueprints. Creating blueprints requires either one of each base NFT type (Action Image, Diorama, Coin, and Lore Tablet), or a single 3D figure NFTs.
Once an Anima Armor blueprint has been created, players purchase materials from the Materials Depot with Shellinium. Then, players use the blueprint, materials, and more Shellinium to craft the armor. Armor upgrades will also be available with tokens acquired by staking Shellinium.
Now all of this blueprint and armor crafting leads to the final piece, the Ultra-Anima race. Here players participate in a ‘distance obstacle course races where players will compete leveraging both their armor and any
potential armor upgrades they have applied.’ Winners of the races will be awarded with prizes which could include Shellinium, NFTs, or material FTs used for crafting. How players will interact with these races has not yet been revealed.
Initial staking for Shellinium begins on on July 27th. Staking Green Rabbit NFTs requires their special ‘USB’ NFTs. Each USB has a certain amount of space available and each NFT requires a certain amount of space to be staked. This makes USBs one of the more valuable NFTs in the game.
Overall, their ecosystem…
