Bitcoin BTC/USD traded slightly lower this morning, with prices for the cryptocurrency trading above the $16,700 level on Friday.

Ethereum ETH/USD, also edged lower, but prices remained above the key $1,200 mark on Friday.

Nexo NEXO/USD was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while TRON TRX/USD turned out to be the biggest loser.

At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap fell to $813.63 billion, recording a 24-hour decline of 0.5%. BTC was trading lower by 0.3% at $16,760, while ETH fell by around 0.1% to $1,249 on Friday.
