Eric Trump Warns Magic Eden To Be ‘Extremely Careful’

Magic Eden has caused a stir after announcing a TRUMP-themed crypto wallet, causing the NFT marketplace’s Solana mindshare percentage to surge significantly.

According to Messari Portals*, Magic Eden’s mindshare, a metric that quantifies social media attention, has nearly quadrupled compared to last week. It currently commands a 3.5% mindshare of the entire Solana ecosystem.

The spike in attention is driven by yesterday’s confusing and conflicting statements regarding a new Trump-branded crypto wallet, led by the TRUMP memecoin team.

However, the President’s son, Eric Trump, was quick to deny involvement, responding, “This project is not authorized by @Trump. @MagicEden I would be extremely careful using our name in a project that has not been approved and is unknown to anyone in our organization.”

The conflicting announcements triggered high volatility in Magic Eden’s token. ME rallied hard on the news, surging 30% to $1.12 per token, but is already down 16% from that high and currently trades at $0.94.

Meanwhile, TRUMP was unresponsive to the news, and is down 4.4% over the last 24 hours, and 23% over the last two weeks.
