Metaverse platform Decentraland announces the upcoming Metaverse Pride festival, developed in partnership with Polygonal Mind and Vegas City.
Metaverse Pride 2023 will take place from June 27 to 29 in Decentraland. The event will celebrate diversity and inclusivity with virtual experiences, live performances, prizes, and educational LGBTQIA+ content. Visitors will have the possibility to feel the joy of the bigger and better multicultural celebration by combating stigmas to support the LGBTQIA+ community. Individuals can attend panel discussions and workshops and become part of the campaign to support LGBTQIA+ rights and discuss mental health. The panels will be conducted under the “The Ad Council’s Love Has No Labels” campaign.
In addition to creating their own avatars and garments, attendees can immerse themselves in the celebrations by creating their unique virtual clothing and avatar. They can also showcase their talent by participating in the wearable design contest and crafting their own personal virtual outfit.
“It is an honor to lead this year’s Metaverse Pride. By actively involving community members in the organization of the event, we strive to foster a sense of shared ownership and unity within our virtual community,” said the Partnerships Manager and Metaverse Pride Coordinator at the Decentraland Foundation, Lara Dias.
Individuals wishing to attend the Metaverse Pride 2023 event must create an account on the Decentraland platform. Then, they can design their unique avatars and experience the largest virtual celebration of the Pride month.
