Most of the top cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano, etc. witnessed a fall on Friday, as the global crypto market cap declined 1.24% to $850.77 billion over the last day.
On 2 December, the world’s largest crypto, Bitcoin, declined by 1.16 percent since the previous day and is trading at $16,939.18, at the time of writing this article (1030 IST). Its closest peer, Ethereum, is priced at $1,273.56, recording a fall of 0.95 percent.
Top altcoins witness a decline
Today, top altcoins like XRP, Cardano, Polygon, and Polkadot registered a dip of 3.48 percent, 1.11 percent, 2.14 percent, and 0.04 percent, respectively. Even Litecoin dipped by 0.85 percent, Solana fell by 3.47 percent and Avalanche slipped by 1.06 percent over the last 24 hours.
However, coins like Uniswap gained by 3.25 percent to trade at $5.99, and Chainlink grew by 0.56 percent and is currently priced at $7.62.
The global cryptocurrency market cap today remained below the $1 trillion mark, as it was down by over 1.24 percent in the last 24 hours to $850.77 billion, as per the data by Coinmarketcap.com.
Friday’s top gainers include EthereumPoW, Fantom, Zcash, and Uniswap, while BinaryX, Dogecoin, and Lido DAO, were among the top decliners.
Meme coins shrink
Popular meme coins also observed a drop in their prices. Elon Musk’s favourite, Dogecoin, is presently trading at $0.09904, while Shiba Inu is priced at $0.000009202, down by 5.32 percent and 0.81 percent, respectively, at the time of writing.
Metaverse tokens in the red
Metaverse tokens also witnessed a fall in their prices on Friday. Tokens like ApeCoin, Decentraland, The Sandbox, and Axie Infinity, diminished by 3.16 percent, 1.10 percent, 0.01 percent, and 1.66 percent, respectively, over the previous day.
