Bitcoin (BTC) Down 0.14%, Ethereum (ETH) Loses 0.43%, Solana (SOL) Falls 2.55%

The crypto market on December 22 saw cryptos running in the red zone. Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL), among others, fell.

The crypto market cap fell about 0.29 per cent to $811.79 billion and its trading volume was up by 14.52 per cent to $25.30 billion, according to data from Coinmarketcap.com at 9 AM.

Cryptocurrency Prices

Bitcoin: BTC was down by 0.14 per cent to $16,847.20.

BTC was very volatile in the last 24 hours. It was swinging between red and green in a narrow range between $16,793.53 and $16,905.22. 

BTC experienced a sudden upward price momentum and it lifted it from the lows of $16,793.53 to the highs of $16,905.22 for a short period around 1 AM on December 24.

BTC’s trading volume was up by 12.51 per cent at $14,733,692,924.

Binance: Binance (BNB) was trading in the red in the last 24 hours. It was trading in the range between $244.45 and $247.32. It suffered a loss of 0.73 per cent at $245.90.

Ethereum: Ethereum’s (ETH) price loses at 0.45 per cent to $1,219.38 in the last 24 hours to Thursday morning.

After trading in the green zone yesterday, Ethereum hit the red zone in the last 24 hours. It was trading between the lows of $1,216.99 to the highs of $1,227. On December 23 evening, it jumped in the green zone for a short period of time and remained in the red after that. Its trading volume levels were down by 15.76 per cent.

ETH’s trading volume was $4,610,451,017.

Other Altcoins: Solana’s (SOL) price was down by 2.55 per cent at $11.77 today.

Ripple (XRP) was up by 1.22 per cent at $0.3531 and its 24-hour trading volume was $529,293,549.

Cardano (ADA) was down by 0.39 per cent to $0.2596. Cardano’s 24-hour trading volume was down by 28.56 per cent to $143,252,244. 

Meme Coins

Dogecoin (DOGE) was down by 0.83 per cent at $0.07733. Its 24-hour trading volume was down by 47.86 per cent at $334,257,105.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) was down by 1.12 per cent to $0.000008299.

Decentralised Finance (DeFi)

Yearn.Finance (YFI) was down by 2.43 per cent to $5,501.80. Its 24-hour trading volume was up by 6.51 per cent at $14,018,014.

Avalanche (AVAX) was down by 0.47 per cent at $11.80 and its 24-hour trading volume was up by 8.43 per cent at $92,235,825.

Aave (AAVE) was down by 2.73 per cent at $54.46. Its 24-hour trading volume was down by 14.39 per cent at $30,451,991.
