Azuki and AMBUSH have joined forces to release their first-ever, limited-edition capsule collection. Inspired by traditional craftsmanship, the collaboration merges AMBUSH’s signature minimalistic design with Azuki’s Web3 culture influences.
Highlights from the four-piece collection include two hoodies and two necklaces, enabled with physically backed token technology. Developed by Chiru Labs, the cryptographic PBT “BEAN” chip links physical items to the digital world while verifying authenticity and proof of ownership.
Geared by creators for creators, the two hoodies, available in cloud and black colorways, deliver both minimalism and functionality. Made from premium cotton and cut to a perfect fit, the staple sees a red ink “IZK” stamp and mirrors the iconic AMBUSH moniker. Meanwhile, the collaborative pendants arrive in silver and gold.
The silver pendant takes the shape of a traditional inkan stamp with an Azuki dragon and “IZK” engravings (Japanese for “let’s go”). Meanwhile, the golden charm features a detail-sculpted tued dragon and a minimalistic inkan stamp design also featuring the Azuki rallying cry “IKZ.”
The collaboration is an homage to the deeply rooted commitment to design and culture that drives both brands. As per Zagabond, Azuki’s founder, “Azuki is proud to collaborate with AMBUSH to explore the intersection of varied subcultures and Web3 technology through the lens of fashion. AMBUSH is bold and innovative, and our collaboration reflects these shared values.”
YOON, creative director at AMBUSH, adds, “Web3 technology is changing how we experience life. We are excited to explore how fashion and Web3 can combine through this collaboration with Azuki and PBT “BEAN” Chip technology.”
Elsewhere, the capsule drop is celebrated with a lookbook featuring Mandy Sekiguchi, an American-Japanese dancer, rapper, actor and personality that represents the vision that has united Azuki and AMBUSH for this collaboration.
On November 9, the community will be able to enter a raffle hosted on Azuki’s website for a chance to win collection items of their choice. Selected winners will be announced on November 11 and will be airdropped NFTs that can be used to redeem physical pieces from the collaboration.
Peep the lookbook above. Physical Azuki x AMBUSH pieces will be available through Azuki’s website on November 19.
