Ava Labs, most known for its Avalanche network, announced the launch of its web3 gaming mentorship program, “Avalanche Arcad3.”
Avalanche Arcad3 is a collaborative initiative that aims to assist “web2” game developers in exploring blockchain technology game integrations. The program bridges traditional game publishers with studios and guilds focused on web3. Notably, in difference to existing mentorship programs, Avalanche Arcad3 does not require studios’ exclusive commitment.
The program offers traditional studios support in different stages of game development. For instance, the initiative aims to educate game developers on technical infrastructure, non-fungible tokens, and prize pools. Sometimes, traditional gamers are afraid of web3 integrations and changes. So, the Avalanche Arcad3 program will explain developers how to market such changes to players. Arcad3 will also facilitate blockchain-based affiliate marketing with eSports teams, as well as incentivize content creation via in-game tokens. In addition, studios will learn about tradable in-game items, revenue sharing, and fees generated from in-game services.
More than that, participating companies will have the opportunity to connect with existing web3 game studios, eSports organizations, and blockchain gaming guilds.
As of today, web3 companies DeFi Kingdoms, Gunz, Shrapnel, Republic Crypto, Avalanche, 2dao3, and TSM’s gaming platform Blitz have joined the project. In addition, Japanese metaverse firms, Gree and Gumi, joined the project as the earliest partners. These two companies also aim to explore blockchain gaming through Avalanche.
“Gree is always focused on the future of gaming, so we’re excited to be a part of Ava Labs’ Arcad3 program as a way to stay ahead on Web3 gaming and develop relationships with the studios who are experimenting in and building the space,” said Board of Director and SVP of Metaverse at Gree, Eiji Araki, in a statement.
