Over the last 2 years, some of the biggest names in the NFT industry have synchronized their celebrations around the annual NFT NYC event. Now however, as NFT NYC has confirmed its next outing for April, ApeFest has revealed it will not follow suit.
This news was confirmed by J Bond, a blockchain expert and Bored Ape investor on Twitter with a screenshot from a moderator of the official BAYC Discord page.

Where Will ApeFest be Held?
In the message, the moderator noted that the timing of NFT NYC had moved to April, something that ApeFest was unable to accommodate. A change likely due to the logistics around organizing a large scale event at such short notice.
The moderator went on to explain that NFT NYC had hosted ApeFest for the past two years, but the event will now seek a new home. While it is disappointing that this long-standing partnership has come to an end, it does resolve any doubts that users might have had and opens the door for new and exciting developments moving forward forward.
