Bored Ape Yacht Club fans can now buy Ape Water in 7/11 California-based stores.
“Ape Beverages” is sustainable water canned from natural springs in Mount Shasta, California. The drink’s packaging features BAYC #5382, which is supposed to attract wealthy NFT holders and fans of the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection.
In the beginning, Ape Water was an initiation-only product. However, the drink is now also available at selected 7/11 Southern California locations. In addition, the water is sold during events like NFT.NYC or Metaverse Miami, and at retailers, among which are The Oaks Gourmet Market and Cafe, Pink Dot, Pink Elephant Liquors, Sunset Oil & Mini Mart, Sphinx Smoke & Vape, and Cool Kicks LA. Notably, the product is currently only available in the United States.
When ordering via the website, individuals can purchase Ape Water by paying with Ape Coin, Ethereum, Bitcoin, credit cards, and PayPal.
This is not the first time Bored Ape Yacht Club imagery has been used in the food and beverage sector. In April 2022, entrepreneur Andy Nguyen opened “Bored & Hungry,” a 1,700-square-foot burger spot in Long Beach, California. It’s worth noting that the fast-food place accepts crypto, including ETH and ApeCoin, as forms of payment.
In October 2022, an anonymous Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT holder announced the opening of a themed cafe in Bern, Switzerland. However, the cafe now seems to be temporarily closed.
On a side note, Ape Water has also announced a partnership with Hidden Valley, the producer of Ranch sauces. BAYC-branded “Original Ranch” is expected to come out in the spring of the year.
