Adriatic Metals PLC said Monday that it has received the exploitation permit for the Rupice underground deposit, which was the final requirement for constructing the Vares silver project in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The exploration and development company said the permit was approved following the completion of a public hearing in Vares on July 7. Construction is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of the year.
The silver project required permits for both the Rupice underground deposit and the Veovaca open pit deposit. The company received an exploitation permit for Veovaca on Jan. 28. The formal exploitation period for the project lasts for up to 30 years.
