The artist Giovanni Motta has created the first manga in NFT form in Italian, which was presented on the NIFTY GATEWAY marketplace on 7 July 2022. The manga is titled METABORG.
The Metaborg project by NFT artist Giovanni Motta
In the Manga story, Metaborg is a combat tournament in which the 32 strongest warriors in the world participate. Each warrior is assigned to a physical person, all of whom are undisputed stars of the crypto world.
John spoke with each of them, interviewing them on the subject of their child, how they saw the world and how they experienced their childhood. Complex personalities and surprising peculiarities emerged.
Thus, prominent art collectors such as Poseidon, Bharat Krimo, Anesti Dima, BatSoupYum, Kenshiro, 33, MoonCAt, Akira, Artifact agreed to become warriors, followed by Ivan Quaroni, art critic and artists such as Federico Clapis, Dangiuz, SkyGolpe, Fabio Giampietro, Hannibal Siconolfi, SixandFive, Emanuel Shiu, Jesse Draxler, Algomistic, Raphael Lacoste, Toomuchlag, Dascanio, Matteo Mauro, Veneziano, Emanuele Ferrari, Giuseppe Lo Schiavo, Andrea Bonaceto, Alessio de Vecchi, and Marco Montemagno.
Metaborg Five Stars is the second date for my Fighter Collectors.
“I am a physical and digital artist, hence in my projects I always try to bring both worlds, physical and digital, to life,” Giovanni Motta explained.
In the first issue of Metaborg there are 136 pages that are now available as unique works: 136 NFTs corresponding to 136 unique art prints.
The physical works have been “dropped” with drops of Giovanni’s blood in order to create a third form of authentication in addition to the signature and NFT.
Giovanni tokenized the photo of his DNA test so it will always be possible to compare and be certain that these works are original.
NFT artist Giovanni Motta explains:
“As the greatest living artist Damien Hirst taught me, I created a very similar tokenomics.”
How does the relationship with the NFT work?
A person who purchases one of these 136 NFTs can decide not to sell it for 6 months and, upon expiration, can decide whether to keep the NFT or have the corresponding physical work as a replacement.
If the collector keeps the NFT, the physical print artwork will be destroyed; if the collector decides to keep the physical artwork, the corresponding NFT will be burned.
These 136 works have 5 levels of rarity determined by the number of stars on the artwork. Pages with one star are the most common while those with 5 stars are the rarest.
MINT will be open for two categories of collectors on 29 and 30 November 2022:
Fighter collectors who have already collected one or more Metaborg NFTs and all others who now have the opportunity to become Fighter collectors by collecting one of these artworks.
MINT will be made directly on the project website.
