Competition TV show The Voice comes to Decentraland Metaverse. From November 10 to 13, Decentraland visitors will have a chance to participate in the virtual singing competition and win prizes.
The Voice-themed game will reportedly look just like the TV version of it, with competitors trying their best to sing and judges spinning the famous red chairs.
The Decentraland version of NBC’s show will also host current celebrity coaches John Legend, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, and Camila Cabello. All Decentraland players will have a chance to stop by The Voice set and take selfies with the well-known singers.
Metaverse singing coaches will decide the winners based on the “notes” collecting game, and players will have the opportunity to win special Voice collectibles.
The initiative is part of the Decentraland Metaverse Music Festival, which was first launched in October 2021. The event celebrates music, creativity, innovation, and culture and invites players to explore 15 virtual cyberpunk festival grounds. This year’s edition features more than 150 artists, among which are Soulja Boy, Ozzy Ozbourne, Björk, and Gramatik.
Users need to pre-register to attend the festival.
“The Voice has always pushed boundaries starting with the first-of-its-kind Blind Auditions that empowered people to feel valued for who they are, not what they look like. Creating our first Metaverse experience with Decentraland is the logical next iteration of that global fan journey,”
said the CEO of Virtual Brand Group, Justin W. Hochberg.
