Mines of Dalarnia has announced their Land Economy 2.0 updates in order to try to solve some of the problems land owners are facing. The game will also host a special event to commemorate the “one-year Apeversary” of the Mining Ape NFT collection.
Mining Ape Apeversary Event
The Mining Apes NFT collection is a limited-edition collection of 10,000 NFTs that was issued on October 25, 2022. Each mining ape is unique and is generated using algorithms. The anniversary event will be held on October 25, 2022, during which each player currently holding an Ape will be eligible for a DAR token airdrop. Eligible players can claim the airdrop rewards from the rewards portal. The amount of DAR tokens to be distributed depends on the holding period of Mining Ape NFTs as per the following chart.
The Mining Ape NFT Collection lives on the Ethereum Blockchain. They can be bought and sold on OpenSea and the current floor price sits at around 0.12 $ETH.
The developers also announced “Ape Exclusive Quests” for Mining Ape NFT holders. The total reward pool for the quests combining DAR, NFTs, and resources is over 2,000,000 DAR. The event will be launched in the first half of 2023 and benefit all Ape NFT holders.
Mines of Dalarnia Land Economy 2.0
In the updated land economy, a resource and replenishment system has been introduced, which means that each plot will have a resource number ranging from 0 to 100.
When the resources run out, the plots must be replenished. But to replenish plots, players must invest in resources and terraforming capsules. These capsules are needed to replenish a plot. The cost to replenish depends on the specific resources on the plot, and the amount of resources replenished. The tax on digs will be 10% of the rent cost, which comes down to a minimum of 0.1 DAR.
Players can obtain resources through mining and digging, but these resources deplete after the first 10-20 digs. Miners can gather resources from nearby plots and mint the boosted rewards before others. This new system aims to create a competitive economy for miners and landowners.
Also, the landowners do not need to engage with the game or their lands very much, as they can easily refill when their plot becomes empty. The Land Economy 2.0 will be made live before the Mines of Dalarnia Version 1.1: Deeper Depths update is rolled out.
