On the occasion of the 47th anniversary of legendary boxer Mohammad Ali, his career-defining Thrilla in Manila pay-per-view bout will soon be dropped on the metaverse. This Mohammad Ali-inspired AI-driven metaverse game called “The Next Legends” will feature digital boxing avatars with Altered State Machine’s AI NFT brains.
Muhammad Ali Enterprises and Non-Fungible Labs have collaborated with Altered State Machine to offer the Greatest’s loyal fanbase a one-of-a-kind AI metaverse boxing experience. The minting process for the AI boxers will go live at 2 pm October 1st PDT via a Pro-Pack bundle.
The Pro Pack bundle features some of the most “intelligent” AI boxers and a rare limited edition Gym Bag. Only 300 wallets are allowed to mint per hour and the process will continue until all Pro-Pack NFTs have been minted. The Pro Pack cost to mint is 0.11 ETH.
The game is set to release sometime in 2023. The interesting gameplay allows users to play whatever virtual boxing avatar they can secure during the mint. The players will compete to win the title of The Next Legend.
Note that, not all of these virtual boxers will be built the same. Anyone who will get a boxer from the Pro Pack mint on October 1 will start with a higher rank with free in-game items bundled in a rare Gym Bag. The contents of these bags will be revealed in an upcoming Locker Room event.
This is not the first time Muhammad Ali-inspired digital assets have been introduced. In May, an NFT collection based on Muhammad Ali’s film “A God Amongst Men” was also launched by Studio Pictures and director James Newton.
