Illuvium Introduces Illuvitars - Your Personalized Avatar for The Metaverse

Illuvitars are avatar NFTs that are tied to the players’ accounts and can be utilized across all Illuvium games. The sale will include 150 Genesis NFTs, and the start date has yet to be determined.

Illuvitars are made up of two components: the avatar itself, representing the most popular Illuvium characters to date, and accessories. Accessories are bound to the avatar through 5 available slots: headwear, eyewear, skin, bodywear, props.

Buyers can customise their Portrait with Accessories. Each avatar and accessory follows a six tier system: virtual, bronze, silver, gold, platinum, diamond. The higher the Tier, the higher the chances of getting an Accessory that is more rare.

Accessories are not required but present a fun way to add flair to your Illuvitar. Accessories are an additional layer that “bonds” permanently to the Portrait.

Players can choose to bond their Portrait with an Accessory as long as that slot is available. Players can bond multiple slots in a single transaction.

Avatars and accessories are minted separately and come into randomized crates. All purchases will be finalized on the IlluviDex, Illuvium’s custom marketplace. Some avatars and accessories are not available for purchase and will be dropped in-game only.

One example of accessories not available for purchase are “borders”. Borders are earned by achieving high ranks in the leaderboard or by completing special quests in the game. They’re tied to the account and won’t be transferred even if you sell your Illuvitars, but can be swapped between all your available avatars.

There’s no date for the sale yet, but we know it will be a unique batch of 150 genesis avatars.

There’s no cap to how many Illuvitars can be minted, the genesis collection is simply a first batch of some of the most popular Illuvium creatures. Each batch of Illuvitars is unique and will never be minted again.

All buyers can purchase an unlimited amount of Illuvitars and Accessories. Obviously, the rarer the drop, the more expensive it can become on the secondary market.

You can customize your Illuvitar from an internal application you can preview on the announcement page. As long as a slot is available or can be freed up, you can assign a new accessory to it.

Accessories come into two different kinds of crates: random and semi-random. Random crates will return a random accessory for a random slot after the mint. Semi-random crates will drop a random accessory for a specified slot.

Illuvitars will be purchasable with ETH or sILV2. The Illuvium Vault receives all sales revenue and distributes it to ILV Stakers through Revenue Distribution. 100% of the revenue from the sale and subsequent marketplace royalties goes directly into the Illuvium Vault.
