rhino.fi Integrates Across Protocol: Enhancing our tech stack creating super-liquidity

At rhino, we prioritize delivering the best cross-chain transaction experience so we can accelerate the adoption of DeFi. Today, we are excited to announce a significant advancement in our technology stack: the integration of Across protocol. By combining the strengths of two of the largest bridge providers in the space, we are creating a super-liquidity tech stack that offers larger, faster, and more secure bridging through rhino.fi.

Bridges currently provide the infrastructure for value to move across chains, an indispensable part of the DeFi experience. It is imperative for bridges to build robust protocols that can stand the test of time, by striking a balance between decreasing cost/speed whilst staying innovative.

Intent-focused architecture

Intent-based bridges maximise solver networks, and the vast liquidity these solvers provide, to provide fast and cheap execution of cross-chain orders. Across introduced this new paradigm in cross-chain experiences in 2021, seamlessly connecting users with applications.

Whilst intent protocols have been growing in popularity due to the large liquidity and speed they can provide, the requirement for solvers to rebalance frequently and maintain liquidity across chains compounds as the number of supported chains increases, making it difficult for intent-based bridges alone to scale and launch on the wave of new L1s, L2s and L3s flooding the DeFi market.

rhino’s Dual Approach: Best of Both Worlds

At rhino, user experience is paramount. By integrating Across where it is available, we can now harness the power of intents to boost liquidity across these chains. We’ll be launching our V1 of the integration on Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, Base and Scroll. On chains where Across is not yet operational, we continue using rhino’s robust infrastructure. This dual approach ensures that our users enjoy the best liquidity on established chains, alongside excellent liquidity from day one of a new mainnet launch.
