Ethereum “Shanghai”, final testnet implementation

Mainnet implementation approaching

On March 15, the crypto asset (virtual currency) Ethereum (ETH) implemented the next upgrade “Shanghai/Capella” (hereinafter referred to as “Shanghai”) on the public testnet Goerli.

As it is the last testnet exercise, the mainnet implementation in Shanghai has become more solid. On the other hand, many nodes have yet to upgrade to the Goerli implementation, or the number of validators currently participating is just under 30%.

Regarding the implementation date of the mainnet, the official website still states that it will be until June 2023, but the other day there was a view that it would be April, and the specific schedule is not yet clear.

In Shanghai, the staked Ethereum withdrawal function will be implemented, so it is attracting a lot of attention from investors. Currently, staking (deposit) is possible, but withdrawal (withdrawal) is not possible.
