Happiest Health, a health and wellness knowledge enterprise, today launched a series of services, including a mobile application and a metaverse platform. Launched in July 2022 by serial entrepreneur Ashok Soota (company chairman) Happiest Health offers specialised health content through its website.
The newly launched mobile app will have experiential stories, discussions with doctors, and global research excerpts to offer readers an insight into common and complex health conditions, ailments, and complications.
The newly introduced metaverse platform will allow users to experience health and wellness knowledge virtually. In one of its first prototypes, the Happiest Health metaverse platform demonstrates the effect of high sugar intake on the human body. The platform allows the users to create an avatar, move across the virtual world, and access information via an audio-visual presentation.
Commenting on the metaverse platform, Anindya Chowdhury, chief executive officer and president, said, “We are starting our metaverse journey with knowledge of diabetes. It will explain how blood sugar spikes affect our brain when we consume different kinds of food. You can keep track of your blood sugar levels, and find information and management support, to name a few utilities. Our ultimate aim is to build a repository of virtual reality experiences that cover a range of topics such as understanding of the human anatomy, interactive mental health sessions with experts, and much more. We want to create a thriving community where users can connect with each other, experts, and healthcare providers in a virtual space.” Chowdhary was appointed the CEO of the company on 17 November, 2022.
Along with the launch of the mobile app and the metaverse platform, the company also launched a monthly print magazine, and wellness programs like mindfulness, Tai Chi, and laughter Yoga, among others.
Since its launch, the company has been internally funded, and would continue to do so, said Soota. In the past, Soota has co-founded Mindtree (now LTIMindtree) and Happiest Minds. The octogenarian IT entrepreneur also said the next five years at Happiest Health would also be focused on preparing to go public.
