Bored Ape Yacht Club Unveils Dooky Dash

The Sewer Pass mint opens on January 17th. Open to holders of Bore Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) NFTs, the Sewer Pass provides access to the upcoming Dooky Dash game, and also opens to the door to potential future adventures in the Ape-verse!

Bored Ape Yacht Club continues to deliver value for their NFT holders. With hype around The Otherside dying down as we wait for the next demo, BAYC brings us a new mint that revolves around playing a web-based, mini-game called Dooky Dash. But this isn’t just for everyone. Playing this mini-game requires a Sewer Pass.

From January 17th to February 8th, holders of Bored Ape Yacht Club or Mutant Ape NFTs can claim a ‘Sewer Pass’ NFT. Players need a Sewer Pass to play Dooky Dash, but they are tradeable, so you may be able to pick one up from the secondary markets if you don’t own a BAYC or MAYC. There will also be higher tiers of Sewer Passes for those who hold a Bored Ape or Mutant Ape AND a BAKC Doggo as well. Higher tier Passes offer bonuses to the player’s score in Dooky Dash.

What is Dooky Dash?

According to Bored Ape Yacht Club, Dooky Dash is a “a skill-based minting experience through the BAYC sewer.”

Players can play as many times as they like. But, as long as they play once and score more than zero, their Sewer Pass will be validated. This in turn leads to a special transformation that becomes available on February 15th. On that date, owners of a validated Sewer Pass can exchange it for a ‘mysterious new power source’ from another dimension. We don’t know much about these except that they will be used to evolve and prepare for upcoming battles in other mini-games.

The highest score achieved in the game affects the results from the mint. And the highest score of all players receives the ‘Key’. Scores and validation status are tied to the wallet, so players can’t buy their way to a better mint. They will have to actually play the game.

Game scores are based on length of the run, the number of fragments from other universes acquired, and the number of obstacles destroyed. Players will be able to buy power ups with APE coins. Dooky Dash will be open until February 8th.

And supposedly, these NFTs will continue to evolve throughout 2023 as BAYC expands on their lore and universe.

What is Bored Ape Yacht Club?
