Microsoft (MSFT) is clinging to its future in the metaverse with both hands.
Henry Bzeih, Microsoft’s Chief Strategy Officer, stated that as the world advances towards a more digital landscape, a hybrid model will likely be the future of consumer and business partnerships.
As one of the most major tech events of the year, the International Consumer Electronics Show CES 2023 laid the groundwork for some of the most significant impending developments.
Microsoft’s current priority, according to Bzeih, is mobility cross-functionality to revolutionise how customers utilise shopping platforms.
As an illustration, he cited how consumers purchase automobiles today. Instead of travelling to a local dealership, users can configure the colours, features, and functionalities of a car via the metaverse, according to Bzeih. He pointed to the Fiat 500e displayed in Microsoft’s virtual vehicle dealership, saying that Microsoft was striving to build cloud-based products and solutions for our clients.
However, obstacles remain, such as getting metaverse-enabled automobiles to the U.S. market. Bzeih stated that the procedure could be challenging due to the need to accommodate independent franchise owners’ ideas, who frequently need clarification on the metaverse.
The solution, according to him, is a hybrid approach that assures firms that the millions of dollars they’ve invested in physical locations would not evaporate. It makes no sense for them to walk away from that and miss out on the entire experience.
