Multi-brand digital fashion platform DressX partners with Inditex’s brand Bershka to release a Christmas collection of AR apparel. The festive drop makes part of the brand’s “Going Out” holiday special and is Bershka’s first digital-only collection.
So, the AR release features four digital items that could become a perfect fit for holiday photos. DressX users are invited to try on a vinyl-effect balloon dress, a striking oversized electric blue fur coat, a set of chains, and a silver mini-dress. Notably, the designs are available on the app free of charge.
“DressX is proud to introduce our new collaborative project with Bershka, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the fashion industry. Launching right on time for the festive season, DressX and Bershka offer the easiest way to get dressed up for the celebration on social media, get creative with photos, videos, and cards, and get ready for the parties in the metaverse,”
said the founders of DressX, Daria Shapovalova and Natalia Modenova.
This is not the first collaboration between the two companies as in July, DressX and Bershka released a collection dubbed “Smiley,” which included eight AR pieces. One of the pieces is free, and fashion enthusiasts can try it on via the DressX app.
With the new AR clothing release, Bershka promotes a sustainable way of dressing up and has more chances to attract the brand’s core audience, gen Z.
However, not only teenagers are interested in sustainability and innovation. For instance, DressX has previously partnered with couture brands. In June this year, the company created AR looks to be photographed for the metaverse issue of global L’OFFICIEL magazines.
On a side note, we will soon see DressX designs in VR in Meta’s virtual reality online video game Horizon Worlds. Thanks to this partnership, metaverse visitors will have a chance to express themselves by wearing one of the many designs created by DressX.
